Product Description

(TITLE REVIEW)
A remarkable cd, really., decades later this is the kind of significant recording that would be archived in music collections of universities. Like the other Yellow Dog cds in this series (especially "Studio Sessions-63" and "Studio Sessions-64"), this shows the Beatles shattering recording previous standards set by prior popular music stars decades before. Want to know why it took so long before the Stones finally put out a truly good record? Listen to this CD! Revealing outtakes of the Beatles perfecting a relatively minor song like "Yes It Is" and masterminding the uplifting backing music of "Help." "Day Tripper" sounds far "trippier" with these few takes. Listening to Beatles stumble and then deliver on the vibrant "Paperback Writer" is both funny and exhilarating. I've read that "Rain" is an alternate mix...it doesn't matter. It still sounds great, since it rounds out the collection and is stunning conclusion to this fantastic listening experience. I mean it! Truly great!
