On August 15,
1965, at the beginning of their U.S. tour, New York's first-ever stadium performance, Shea Stadium, attracted 55,000 spectators and was recorded as a historic concert symbolizing the height of the Beatles' popularity. IT WAS BROADCAST ON TV IN THE 60S, SHOWN IN THEATERS IN THE 70S, LATER RELEASED AS A HOME FILM AND UNOFFICIAL VIDEO, AND RECENTLY RELEASED IN THEATERS WITH THE MOVIE EIGHT DAYS, A WEEK-THE TOURING YEARS, BUT NO LIVE ALBUM OR FOOTAGE LIKE THE "HOLLYWOOD BOWL" HAS BEEN RELEASED AT THIS TIME. This 55th anniversary edition includes the first full-length real stereo complete version with the latest remastered in 2020, which is the first appearance, and the differences between each version of the different edits so far. The difference between sound and video can be compared and verified. CD1's "STEREO REMASTER VERSION 2020" is the latest remaster, which is the first appearance of this time, and contains all the sound sources of the movie version, which has been a mixture of stereo and monaural, in stereo versions. "COMPLETE CONCERT STEREO REMASTER VERSION 2020" IS A SOUNDBOARD SOUND SOURCE WITH ORIGINAL ORIGINAL LINE RECORDINGS THAT ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE EDITED MOVIE VERSION, AND "SHE'S A WOMAN" AND "EVERYBODY'S TRYING TO BE MY BABY" WERE CUT IN THE MOVIE VERSION. Including the two songs, it is an uncut complete recording in the actual song order. This is the first complete version of the original mono sound source that has been converted to real stereo with the latest restoration editing. In addition, an "anthology version" with different mixes and edits is also included. CD2 contains a 2016 remastered sound source by Giles Martin, which was released theatrically with the movie "EIGHT DAYS A WEEK-THE TOURING YEARS". The cheers and performances have also been newly edited. It also includes a '91 remastered sound source that was restored by Ron Farmanek, who was in charge of the Beatles' videographic, but was a mix of stereo and mono. In addition, an audio documentary is also included that captures interviews with fans and the situation at the venue when it was held at the same Share Stadium in '66. It also captures the scene of the venue during the concert slightly, and you can hear fragments of "Yesterday" and "Paperback Writer". DVD 1 includes a stereo version of all songs as "STEREO REMASTER VERSION 2020". THE FOLLOW-UP, RON FURMANEK REMIX AND REMASTER VERSION 1991, INCLUDES A REMASTERED VIDEO BY RON FURMANEK IN '91 OF THE TV BROADCAST VERSION, INCLUDING LONGER INTERVIEWS AND UNDERCARD SCENES THAN THE FILM VERSION. Compared to the original TV broadcast version, it is a version that has been greatly upgraded in sound and video. Also included as a bonus is valuable news footage of the recently unearthed Scheer Stadium in '66. And DVD2 contains the complete version of the entire concert, including two songs that were cut in the movie version as "COMPLETE CONCERT REMASTER VERSION 2020". It is a video that makes full use of video collage to realize the video of all songs, and compared to the past ones, this is the first appearance video that has been newly originally edited. And "ORIGINAL TV STATION MASTER" is a recording of the American TV broadcast version of the 60's ~ early 70's, as the title suggests. It is an old image quality and monaural audio, but it recreates the atmosphere of that time. It also has value as an original material before it is edited later. In addition to the "ANTHOLOGY VERSION", a different edited version of the "ANTHOLOGY DIRECTOR'S CUT" that has been shelved is also included. Both sound sources and videos have different editing, and you can enjoy the difference by listening to and comparing them. This is the latest definitive edition of the newly recommended collector's edition, which includes sounds and images related to the Beatles' historic concert "Share Stadium" in 2020, including the latest remasters.
